2011-2012 Weather Related Information

Notices will be posted here if there is any weather related change to our regular day’s schedule.

In the event of inclement weather such as snow, sleet, ice, etc., we do NOT follow Baltimore County Public Schools school delays or closings.  Weather related changes to our schedule are posted on this website, added to the school phone greeting message, and, if the family has registered a contact cell phone, texted to that cell phone.

Feb. 11, 2012 – We’re Open!

Clear, snowless parking lot on Feb. 11, 2012 at U.S. Martial Arts Academy, Ltd.The snow was pretty, but it   only stuck to grass.
So yes, we’re open. Enjoy the view and come in for class!

We’re Open – Sat. Jan 21st 2012

Yes, we are open today, Saturday, January 21st,  2012.  There is a mixture of snow and some ice on the road and parking lot.

Mr. Paul and Mrs. Maricar are at the school.  It is possible that not all of the regularly scheduled instructors will not be in.

Please remember, we are closed on Saturday, December 31st and Monday, January 2nd for the New Year holiday.  We will reopen on Tuesday, January 3rd with our regular schedule.

Charitable Efforts December 2011

For the nineteenth year, U.S. Martial Arts Academy, Ltd. families and staff donated holiday gifts for the children of Villa Maria.  Twelve boxes of new toys, clothing, sports equipment, electronics, art supplies, books, gift cards, and other items requested by the children were delivered to Villa Maria.

In addition,   U.S. Martial Arts Academy, Ltd. families and staff have been collecting non-perishable food in boxes or cans for the local needy.   Food is still being collected (no glass containers, please!).

Our Newest Black Sash

Congratulations to our newest Black Sash, Mr. Tom Riley!

Tom completed testing for his first degree Black Sash on Saturday, November 26, 2011. Many of Tom’s family and friends were able to attend his test where he, instructors, and Mr. Paul performed various forms and demonstrations.

Demonstrations

Later that afternoon, a second demonstration was given at the La Petite Child Care Center on the Greater Baltimore Medical Center (GBMC Hospital) campus in  Baltimore County.

August 29, 2011 Open!

U.S. Martial Arts Academy, Ltd. suffered no ill effects from Hurricane Irene and is open with the regular schedule.
