2011-2012 Weather Related Information

Notices will be posted here if there is any weather related change to our regular day’s schedule.

In the event of inclement weather such as snow, sleet, ice, etc., we do NOT follow Baltimore County Public Schools school delays or closings.  Weather related changes to our schedule are posted on this website, added to the school phone greeting message, and, if the family has registered a contact cell phone, texted to that cell phone.

July Tournament Practice Sessions

Students who are competing in the July U.S. International Kuo Shu Championship Tournament may attend tournament practice sessions Mondays from 5:30 to 6:15pm and Fridays from 5:15 to 6:00pm.   Mr. Jeff, a long-time tournament judge and referee, will work with you to improve your forms and/or your fighting skills.

Legacy Tournament Parking

Some of the business sharing the parking lot with U.S. Martial Arts Academy, Ltd. will be open for business on the day of the tournament.

Please park in the adjacent parking lot which is connected to our parking lot by steps.

From I 83, take exit 16A East Timonium Road.  Turn right on Aylesbury Road and turn right into the access road (just after Rebounders) that leads to Lutherville Station Shopping Center (Lohmans, Old Navy, etc.).  Turn right into the back parking lot.   See the purple highlight on the map.

Traveling south on York Road, turn left (westward) on to Aylesbury Road.   Turn right into the access road (just before Rebounders) that leads to Lutherville Station Shopping Center (Loehmans, Old Navy, etc.).  Turn right into the back parking lot.   See the blue highlight on the map.

Traveling north on York Road, turn left (westward) on to Ridgely Road.  Turn right at the Lutherville Station Shopping Center (Loehmans, Old Navy, etc.).  Turn left into the back parking lot  (drive past Golfsmith).   See the red highlight on the map.

April 21, 2012 Tien Shan Pai Legacy Tournament

Don’t forget to register online for Grandmaster’s 2012 Tien Shan Pai Legacy Tournament!  It will cost $10 more to register at the door.

Spectators are free and welcome!

Pre-Registration Cost is $35 ($30 for Turtle Tots).  Pre-registration ends on April 19, 2012.  Those wishing to register after this date must register at the door on April 21st.

At the door registration (the morning of the tournament) Cost is $45 ($40 for Turtle Tots)

Registration includes the entry fee for the 1st  event.  Each additional event is $5.

2012 April 21 No Saturday classes – Legacy Tournament instead

Please remember that April 21, 2012 is Grandmaster Huangs 2012 Tien Shan Pai Legacy Tournament.  There will be no Saturday classes or Eagle Team practice that day.  Instead, there will be a volunteer meeting at 9:30am.  Competitors who have not pre-registered should come by 11:00am.  The tournament is scheduled to begin at 12:00pm.

Admission for spectators is free.

Tournament Practice for April and July 2012 Tournaments

Those U.S. Martial Arts Academy, Ltd. students who are planning on competing for the April 2012 Tien Shan Pai Legacy Tournament, the July 2012 International KuoShu Championship Tournament or both can meet with Mr. Jeff to work on improving their techniques for the tournament.   Tournament Practice times are: Mondays 5:30pm – 6:15pm and Fridays 5:15pm – 6:00pm.

2012 March 24th New Black Sash!

Dalton Herrold earned and tested to his first degree Black Sash.  He demonstrated nine of the ten forms mastered to reach his first degree Black Sash, performed a self – choreographed martial arts, and gave a speech on achieving his Black Sash.  Various  students and instructors also performed.

Congratulations, Dalton on your fine efforts and for achieving your Black Sash!
