U. S. Martial Arts Academy, Ltd. is very proud of our large staff of experienced instructors. We have a number of instructors with rankings in first, second, and third degree rankings and several instructors working toward their 4th degree black sash ranking. All of our instructors are continuing their study of Tien Shan Pai, either with Shi Fu Paul or with Grandmaster Huang, Chien-Liang, or both.
Mr. Paul is our Head Instructor and School Owner. He has a third degree black sash and is currently working on earning his fourth degree in Tien Shan Pai. Shi Fu Paul has taught for over 11 years and has studied for over 15 years. A student of Grandmaster Huang for over 11 years in Tien Shan Pai, Mr. Paul has been begun studying the long form Yang Style Tai Chi with Grandmaster as well. Mr. Paul is also a disciple of Grandmaster Huang.
Mrs. Maricar is an instructor, School Director, and School Owner. She is a student of Grandmaster Huang studying the long form of Yang Style Tai Chi. She is also studying Tien Shan Pai.
Mr. Jeff Zukor is a Senior Instructor. He has been studying Tien Shan Pai and the long form Yang Style Tai Chi for over 27 years and teaching for 25 years. Mr. Jeff has a third degree black sash. He is a student and disciple of Grandmaster Huang.
Ms. Katie Jakubowski has been a U.S. Martial Arts instructor for over 8 years and a student for over 15 years. She holds a first degree black sash. Ms. Katie has fought in the Full Contact Fighting Division at the U.S. International Kuo Shu Championship Tournament. She is also a professional graphics designer and has designed numerous artworks for U.S. Martial Arts Academy, Ltd.
Mr. Sujay Nair has been an instructor for over 8 years. He has been studying Tien Shan Pai for over 17 years and has a third degree black sash. He is a student and disciple of Grandmaster Huang. Mr. Sujay has won many medals at the U.S. International Kuo Shu Championship Tournaments over the years, in both empty hand and weapons forms.
Mr. Alex Nichol is an instructor and has been a student of Tien Sha Pai for almost 10 years. He is also a student of Grandmaster Huang and has achieved his second degree sash. He has performed in several demonstrations and programs presented by Grandmaster Huang and has competed in the U.S. International Kuo Shu Championship Tournaments.
Mr. Charles Comfort is an instructor who has studied for over 6 years at this school. He has a first degree black sash and continues to train with Shi Fu Paul and Grandmaster Huang.
Ms. Erica Hay is an instructor and has trained in Tien Shan Pai for over 8 years. Ms. Erica has a first degree black sash. She is also a Baltimore City Police officer.
Mr. Peter Coe has been an assistant instructor for several years and has recently become a full instructor. He has been a student of Tien Shan Pai for over 7 years and has earned his first degree black sash.
Mr. Max Crockett is an instructor and has studied Tien Shan Pai for almost 7 years. He has earned his first degree black sash.
Ms. Mary Kallab is an instructor and a U.S. Martial Arts Academy, Ltd. student training in Tien Shan Pai for over 5 years. She earned her first degree black sash in November 2010.
Ms. Sara Mahmood is an instructor who trains at U.S. Martial Arts Academy, Ltd. for over 5 years. She also earned her first degree black sash in November of 2010.
Ms. Lucy Walker is an instructor who has studied Tien Shan Pai for over 7 years. She has a first degree black sash.
Mr. James Banta is an instructor and has studied Tien Shan Pai Kung Fu at this school for over 9 years.
Mr. Sam Kallab, Mary’s brother is also an instructor who has trained for over 5 years at our school.
Mr. Tom Riley is a first degree black sash instructor who has studied Tien Shan Pai Kung Fu at this school for over 10 years.

Mr. J.D. Carr is a long time instructor and U. S. Martial Arts student for over 17 years. He also studied under Grandmaster Huang and holds a second degree black sash.
Mr. Fred Petty also a longtime instructor, has studied Tien Shan Pai for over 17 years at U.S. Martial Arts Academy, Ltd. He is also a student of Grandmaster Huang and has earned his second degree black sash.
Mr. Max Boltz has been a student of Tien Shan Pai Kung Fu here at U.S. Martial Arts Academy, Ltd. He is also a student of Grandmaster Huang and has earned his second degree black sash with him.
Mr. Michael Anderson has over 11 years of study at U.S. Martial Arts Academy, Ltd. and is also a student of Grandmaster Huang. He has a first degree black sash.
Mr. Brandon Montell is an instructor who has studied Tien Shan Pai Kung Fu for over 10 years at U.S. Martial Arts Academy, Ltd. He has a first degree black sash and continues to study Tien Shan Pai.
Recently, a longtime instructor, Ms. Caitlyn Carr, started her graduate school studies. Unfortunately, she has had to stop teaching here with us. Ms. Caitlyn Carr is an experienced instructor having taught at U.S. Martial Arts Academy, Ltd. for over 7 years. A U.S. Martial Arts Academy, Ltd. student for over 15 years, she began studying in the younger child program, formerly known as Turtle Tots and achieved her camouflage black belt. Then she started in the regular program and earned a first degree sash.
